Pasta Evangelists CEO Alessandro Savelli has set his sights on expanding the artisan pasta brand to the US.

Speaking with Yahoo about the company’s plans, Savelli claimed, “the future is the USA”. Pasta Evangelists currently serves over 350,000 portions of pasta per month via nationwide delivery and takeaway in the UK only.

However, Savelli, who founded the business in 2016, said that the US brought further opportunities for the company. “It’s the biggest market for Italian food and pasta, number one for restaurants and is our priority for the future.”

Speaking more generally, he added that he did not believe Italian cuisine had an “owner” in the restaurant space, adding: “I think Pasta Evangelists will become this brand.”

The artisan pasta delivery company rose to fame on British reality TV programme Dragons’ Den in 2016, and opened its first dine-in restaurant experience with a Harrods pasta bar in 2021. It has since opened six further sites, in Chiswick, Richmond, Greenwich, Farringdon, York and Manchester Airport.

The company offers both ingredients kits to cook at home and freshly made hot meals from its restaurants via Just Eat and Uber Eats.

Just last week, Pasta Evangelists unveiled plans to take its UK restaurant offering to over 15 sites by the end of 2025, with the first to open in Guildford this month.

Each new location will offer customers a fresh pasta menu alongside the Pasta Academy concept, which hosts pasta-making classes.
