Pasta Evangelists has launched a new breakfast menu, combining some of its bestselling sauces with poached eggs.
Rolling out in its recently opened Farringdon restaurant on 26 August, the Italian-inspired ‘Evangelists Eggs & Morning Treats’ menu features Infernal Eggs: an ’nduja and red pepper sauce with poached eggs and focaccia, Paradise Eggs: poached eggs, stracciatella, basil pesto and wild rocket, and Truffled Eggs: combining cacio e pepe sauce with poached eggs.
The artisan pasta company is also launching an ’Eggs in Purgatory’ dish, which combines poached eggs with a cherry tomato sauce, mozzarella and fresh herbs, alongside a selection of pastries.
The menu, which is priced at £8.50 per meal, is available exclusively at Farringdon from 7am to 11am.
To mark the launch, from Tuesday 26 to Friday 29 August, diners will be offered a free coffee between 7am to 8am on a first come, first serve basis.
“Breakfast is the most important meal of the day so we’re on a mission to reimagine it, Italian-style,” said Pasta Evangelists co-founder and CMO Finn Lagun. “We know how fast-paced mornings can be, especially in London, so we wanted to create something quick yet indulgent, with the same quality and creativity we bring to our delicious fresh pasta.
“Those who prefer a sweet treat can opt for the quintessential cappuccino (we’ll allow this after 11am!) and a delicious cornetto (croissant) – dipping is optional.”
Last week, Pasta Evangelists unveiled plans to open 100 restaurants across the UK in the next five years.
With its franchise partners, the pasta delivery company will be investing over £30m in the new restaurants, and is looking for sites and new partners across the south of England, Midlands and Scotland.
