Pasta Evangelists has partnered with world hunger charity Action Againt Hunger to raise funds for families facing food insecurity.
Kicking off today (20 October), in line with World Pasta Day 2025, the pilot partnership will see the fresh pasta brand donating £1 to the charity for every portion of Ragù alla Bolognese sold across its retaurants and national delivery until 26 October.
The collaboration comes as 8% of the global population goes hungry every day, according to Action Against Hunger. At the same time, funding for international aid is under increasing pressure.
The donations from Pasta Evangelists will help fund programmes delivered by Action Against Hunger, supporting families facing food and nutritional insecurity nationwide.
“When we first stepped into the Dragons’ Den our mission was to spread joy through food,” said Pasta Evangelists CEO and co-founder Alessandro Savelli. But the world has changed since then and progress towards the UN’s Zero Hunger goal by 2030 has not just slowed down but reversed, according to Action Against Hunger.”
“With aid cuts of over £1bn since last year, and more planned from 2027, every penny that can be raised for international aid counts, and we are committed to supporting the closing the hunger ‘gap’ as we grow.”
Action Against Hunger UK executive director Jean-Michel Grand added: “Every contribution makes a difference in our fight to end life-threatening hunger. With the support of partners like Pasta Evangelists, we can reach more families with the food, nutrition, and care they urgently need.
“What many might not know is that just £1 can provide a day’s worth of therapeutic food for a child suffering from malnutrition, while it takes just £42 and six weeks to save a child that is suffering from severe malnutrition.”
