
Pilgrims Choice has tapped into adult snacking with the launch of Dip & Dunk snack pots.
The development from the Ornua-owned brand includes sticks of Pilgrims Choice cheese with ”dips made from the very best ingredients”.
The range (rsp: 2.85/ 3x52g) includes Pilgrims Choice Dip & Dunk Cheddar with Roasted Red Pepper dip, and Pilgrims Choice Dip & Dunk Red Leicester with Mango Chutney dip.
The first SKU combines “rich and creamy” cheddar sticks with “a sweet and gently smoky” roasted red pepper dip.
The second is made from “savoury and nutty” red leicester sticks with a “deliciously fruity and spicy” mango chutney dip.
“We ‘dare dairy to be different’ and when it comes to snacking, our new Dip & Dunk range does just this by inspiring consumers to steer clear of the bland and explore new exciting flavour combinations,” said Nicola Blackmore-Squires, Ornua Foods UK & Europe marketing director.
The snack pots will first appear in Sainsbury’s stores from May, with further major listings to come later in 2026.
According to Pilgrims Choice, the launch comes at a time of rapid growth in the adult snacking category, with Circana data referenced by the brand showing sales of adult-orientated snacks increasing by over 8% year on year.
“Adult snacking is developing rapidly,” said Blackmore-Squires. “However, while adults are snacking more, our research shows they are also feeling under-served by bland and often over-processed options.
“The launch of our new moreish Pilgrims Choice Dip & Dunk range is set to address this by delivering a more natural, more tasty and more satisfying snack all in a convenient and easy-to-use pack.”
