Pizza Express is to launch Mac & Wings, a delivery-first mac & cheese and chicken concept, as it becomes the latest pizza player to invest in its chicken offering.
Rolling out nationwide from 3 March and available via Deliveroo, the menu includes a selection of wings in Lemon & Herb, BBQ, Buffalo, and Hot Honey flavours, alongside dips such as Garlic & Herb, Pizzanaise, Sweet & Smoky BBQ, and Spicy Tomato & Chilli.
The menu also features Buttermilk Chicken Tenders with Pizzanaise, Potato Bites, and a three cheese Loaded Mac & Cheese, available in a range of variations from Mushroom to Pepperoni & Jalapeño.
It has been developed as a standalone delivery concept and will be produced from Pizza Express kitchens.
It comes as data from Meaningful Vision shows that chicken was 2025’s best-performing fast food category, with chicken-focused outlets growing 6.5% year on year, visits up 5.6%, and chicken now accounting for 35% of fast food menus.
“Mac & Wings is us doing chicken our way,” said Pizza Express CEO Paula MacKenzie. “It’s focused, flavour-first and unapologetically bold. Every part of it is built on the same uncompromising quality and taste standards our fans expect from us, just expressed through an innovative new lens.”
It comes after Domino’s expanded its Chick ‘N’ Dip brand to all stores in the UK and Republic of Ireland earlier this month, following a successful regional trial.
Domino’s initially launched the chicken concept across 187 in the north west of England and Northern Ireland in September. It includes Tenders, Wings, Boneless Bites and nine new globally inspired dips.
