The owner of the Pizza Hut UK restaurant franchise, Directional Pizza, has appointed Gino Casciani as its new group CEO for Europe.
Beginning the role on 9 September, Casciani joins from Sushi Daily owner KellyDeli, where he has held the title of global chief operating officer for the past year-and-a-half.
He previously held positions at Taco Bell, as managing director and vice president for international operations, as well as senior roles at Pret a Manger and Pizza Hut’s global owner, Yum Brands.
Announcing Casciani’s appointment via LinkedIn, Directional Pizza said: “With deep operational and commercial expertise across the UK, Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Canada – and a strong track record within the Yum Brands system – Gino is perfectly positioned to lead our next phase of growth.
“He joins us at a pivotal moment as we reimagine how our Directional Pizza owned and operated restaurants under the Pizza Hut UK and Europe brand are experienced across our 240-plus locations – for both our customers and our teams.
“His leadership, energy, and strategic vision will be instrumental in accelerating innovation and brand momentum.”
Directional Pizza acquired the Pizza Hut UK restaurant franchise in January 2025 after the business entered a pre-pack administration.
More than 3,000 jobs were preserved as a result of the deal, with just one Pizza Hut restaurant having closed at the time.
