Pret South Bank Shop

Pret a Manger is opening three new shops in partnership with Roadchef as part of its strategy to expand into more travel hub locations.

The new roadside shops will open at Rownhams Westbound Services, Stafford Southbound Services and Chester Services, creating around 30 jobs.

The Rownhams shop opened today (20 March), while Stafford will open on Monday 23 March, followed by Chester on Wednesday 25 March.

They will feature the food-to-go chain’s full menu of freshly prepared sandwiches, salads, hot food, snacks and baked goods. Coffee, tea and iced drinks prepared by Pret’s baristas will also be available.

“We’re thrilled to expand to new shops on the motorway network in Rownhams, Stafford and Chester with our franchise partner Roadchef,” said Pret a Manger head of franchise Sam Otterburn.

“These locations give travellers the perfect place to pause and refuel with freshly made food and organic coffee. We look forward to welcoming customers soon.”

Roadchef brands director Dan Sutton added: “Deepening our partnership with Pret and adding new locations across our estate as we head into the busy spring and summer travel periods marks another important milestone for our business.

”We are committed to working with the best brands to provide customers with unparalleled choice, quality and convenience when they travel.”

The openings add to the more than 220 shops already operated by Pret in airports, stations and motorway services across the UK.

In January, Pret unveiled plans to expand its partnership with Heathrow as it prepares to open its ninth shop in the airport later this year in Terminal 5 arrivals.
