Redefine Meat has announced the launch of its Shawarma SKU into Ocado.

The alt meat brand has expanded its range with the launch of an “authentic spicy” Shawarma option.

The Middle Eastern-inspired product (rsp: £4) is frozen and designed for sandwiches of all kinds including wraps, pittas, baguettes and flatbreads.

It “packs a punch” with a cumin, coriander, clove and cinnamon flavour and is made entirely of plants and natural ingredients, with 22g of protein, 4g of fibre.

It is also low in fat and contains zero cholesterol.

The product is created using Redefine Meat’s technology including a patented additive manufacturing process to AI and machine learning for meat optimisation.

The latest launch joins the range on Ocado, which includes Redefine Flank Steak, Pulled Pork & Beef, Burgers, Mince, Lamb Kofta and Bratwurst.
