The managing director of Cornish egg producer St Ewe Free Range Eggs has announced he will be stepping down from the role.
Martin Glinski spent five years with the company, helping to contribute to the business’s growth, strengthen its brand, and develop its team.
It comes after a bumper year for St Ewe, whose sales nearly doubled in value (95.7%) to £51.7m and volume sales surged 59.1%.
Prior to joining St Ewe, Glinski spent more than 15 years at The Rick Stein Group and over five years at The Fresh & Freeze Company before that.
“St Ewe is in a strong position, with real momentum, and now feels like the right time for new leadership to take the business forward into its next phase,” Glinski said in a statement on LinkedIn. “As much as I would love to remain part of the journey, it is important that the next leader has the space to establish themselves and shape the future in their own way.
“The scale and pace of growth over the last five years has been exceptional, and something few businesses are bold enough to pursue,” he continued. “That success has been built on more than performance alone – it has been built on people, on relationships, and on a shared belief that we can do business in a positive, transparent and nurturing way.”
St Ewe told The Grocer more information on who would replace Glinski would be coming in due course.
