Starbucks is launching a new summer menu designed to tap into demand for iced coffee and matcha during the summer months.

Fronting the seasonal lineup is the new Caramelised Banana range, which combines caramelised banana sauce with Blonde Espresso Roast and iced matcha.

The new drinks include the Iced Caramelised Banana Latte (rsp: £4.10/tall), Iced Caramelised Banana Oat Shaken Espresso (rsp: £5.55/tall) and Iced Caramelised Banana Matcha Latte (rsp: £5.15/tall).  

Hot options will also be available, including the Caramelised Banana Velvet Latte (rsp: £4.25/Tall), while Banana Cold Foam can be added for a “smooth, creamy finish”.

Starbucks said the range ”delivers a contemporary update to the summer beverage lineup” across both hot and iced formats. A Cherry & Pomegranate Starbucks Refresha (rsp: £5.55/tall), which blends cherry and pomegranate flavours and is served over ice with dried cherry pieces, will also join the lineup.

“We continue to innovate our beverage range, tapping into emerging flavour trends and evolving customer preferences,” said Louise Direito, category, innovation and development director at Starbucks EMEA.

“We’re seeing growing interest in bold, trend-led flavours across both iced coffee and matcha, particularly during the summer months, as customers look for new and exciting ways to customise their favourite drinks.”

Direito added: “Inspired by the flavours of summer, our new Caramelised Banana range responds to this demand, pairing fruity caramel notes with our Blonde Roast coffee and iced matcha to create a vibrant seasonal offering.”

The launch includes a summer food range featuring Chicken & Chorizo Focaccia, Charred Chickpea & Chimichurri Wrap, Chicken & Bacon Caesar Wrap, Summer Bear Cake Pop and Caramelised Biscuit Cake Cube.

Starbucks’ Cloud Frappuccino blended beverage range will also remain available in Strawberry Matcha, Brown Sugar and Caramel Mocha variants, while Strawberry Acai and Cool Lime Refresha drinks will stay on menus nationwide.

The summer menu will be available to Starbucks Rewards members from 25 June, with nationwide rollout from 2 July. All products will be available for a limited time, subject to availability.
