Microwave ready meal company Steam has freshened up its image with a smarter packaging design and new recipes emphasising the quality of the products in its range.
Inspired by recipes from around the world, Steam has developed four dishes - Smoked Salmon & Dill, Chickpea & Halloumi Tagine, Kerala Chicken and Hot & Sour Chicken.
Each is a 390g meal for one with an rsp of £3.99 and is available in Waitrose and selected independents. The
hand-made meals are packaged in double-layer film that enables the food to be steamed while preserving the quality of the ingredients. All of them are microwaveable in less than seven minutes.
The packs feature new recipe photography and redesigned livery to better get across the products’ ‘fresh natural and tasty’ message, according to retail sales manager Dominique Schulenburg.
“The new look is the result of customer feedback. We realised that although Steam was well received by consumers, we needed to shout more about the unique selling points of the range.”
