Subway has launched a new Shawarma Spiced Chicken flavour and is expanding its Smashed Falafel Sub to menus nationwide.
Rolling out to restaurants from today (25 March) until 2 June, the Shawarma Spiced Chicken features oven-cooked chicken thigh pieces marinated for a minimum of four hours in a blend of cumin, coriander, turmeric and paprika.
It will be available as a Footlong or six-inch Sub, in a wrap, a salad or on a jacket potato with the food-to-go chain’s Spudway offering.
Following a successful trial, Subway’s plant-based Smashed Falafel flavour will be available nationwide. Made using green chickpeas, it is flavoured with a combination of parsley, coriander and cumin.
It is also available as a snack bag, featuring six falafels served with a dip of choice.
Alongside the new filling flavours, the sandwich chain is launching a Yoghurt, Mint & Garlic Sauce. It is also bringing back its Raspberry Cheesecake Cookie, available individually, in a three-pack, or a box of 12.
“We’re excited to bring bold, innovative and trending flavours to our menu,” said Subway EMEA director of culinary and innovation Cathy Goodwin. “Together, these new additions showcase our dedication to developing delicious, flavour-packed food.
“We’re turning up the heat this spring with fresh, exciting choices that we know our Subway fans will love.”
