Comic Relief's Big Red Nose Day is only a few weeks away and sponsorship activity has been steadily moving into promotional featured space aisles, as either part of the main promotion for each brand or as a secondary incentive.

Sainsbury's continues to champion the Comic Relief cause and key brands are also pulling out the stops to promote awareness and involvement among consumers by having dual offers or simply flagging up the appeal.

Andrex has offers in Sainsbury's, Somerfield and Morrisons on its 9-pack of toilet tissue using extra-free and x for y mechanics.

Its packs also feature the Red Nose Day Puppy, which you can purchase for £5, £1.70 of which is donated to Comic Relief.

In the crisps/snacks category Walkers multipacks of crisps were featured in Morrisons, Somerfield and Sainsbury's with x-for-y and buy-one-get-one-free.

Sponsorship of Comic Relief by the brand is strong with its television advertising and on-pack Walk'ears campaign, which encourages consumers to sign up online for a free pair of big ears and (hopefully) make a donation at the same time.

Coca-Cola's 2-litre Coke variant was offered in Tesco and Sainsbury's with the x-for-y mechanic and was displayed in Sainsbury's with a distinctly flamboyant red bottle.

Müller, another official sponsor, was on offer in Asda, Sainsbury's and Tesco using save, buy-one-get-one-free and x for y.

Müller Corner Crunch 6-packs were featured in Asda with the additional on-pack message of The Big One confirming a donation of 10p would be made for every pack purchased.

PG Tips' 160-pack Pyramid Tips were displayed in Morrisons, Sainsbury's and Asda with a free Monkey and in Tesco using x-for-y.

In addition to the primary offers in Sainsbury's a 5p donation will be made to Comic Relief for every special pack sold.
