With an abv of 4.8% and amber in colour, Younger’s Special Bitter is described as a rich and flavoursome beer

On pouring, Younger’s Special Bitter has a rich, sweet smell and nice, amber colour. It looks strong and a little cloudy, which I like.
To drink, it’s actually lighter than I expected. It would be pretty accessible to lager drinkers.
However, two things bother me about this product. One is the price, which is close to, and maybe even higher, than you would expect to pay for a pint in a pub.

The second is that this is an American beer that is brewed, according to the bottle, to an English recipe. Why not just buy a cheaper beer that was brewed here?
