Mexican restaurant chain Tortilla is launching a new Fuel-Good Bowls range, designed for customers who want to ”eat a bit better and feel a bit better”.
The range features three bowls, each designed with a specific nutritional focus. The Protein Bowl, which is 870 calories and contains 75g of protein, is built on a base of Mexican rice and black beans, and features a double portion of Tortilla’s asado chicken. It is topped with sweetcorn salsa, pico de gallo, pickled onions, sour cream and salsa ranchera.
The Balance Bowl combines protein, carbohydrates and healthy fats, and includes coriander rice and black beans topped with asado chicken, sweetcorn salsa and pico de gallo.
The bowl, which is around 798 calories with 54g of protein, also features guacamole and pickled red onions.
The Plant Bowl, which is a 773 calorie plant-based option, contains 26g of protein. It is built on a base of coriander rice and black beans, and combines sweetcorn salsa, pico de gallo and guacamole, topped with vegan chilli and pickled red onions.
“We know our customers want food that tastes great but also fits into their everyday lifestyle,” a Tortilla spokesperson said. “The Fuel-Good Bowls range is about delivering that balance of bold Tortilla flavours with ingredients and combinations that help people feel energised and satisfied.
“Whether you’re looking for something high in protein, a well-balanced meal, or a vibrant plant-based option, these bowls make it easy to choose something that works for you.”
The launch comes as the restaurant chain is undergoing a transformation plan, with one of its key strategic initiatives to enhance and broaden its food offering over the next 18 months.
