Tortilla has partnered with Leeds-based hot sauce brand Thiccc Sauce to launch Hot Damn Chicken, a new menu flavour that delivers a triple hit of ghost chilli.
Launching today (22 September), Hot Damn Chicken combines the fast-casual Mexican restaurant chain’s Asado Chicken with a Hot Damn Glaze created with Thiccc Sauce. It can be added to customers’ burritos, bowls and other Tortilla builds.
Alongside this, Tortilla is bringing back its Ghost Chilli Ranch, which has also been created in collaboration with Thiccc Sauce.
The house-made ranch is combined with Thiccc Sauce’s Hot Damn Triple Ghost Chilli Hot Sauce, which features Trinidad Scorpian Moruga, Yellow Naga Bhut Jolokia and Carolina Reaper chillis.
Combining both Hot Damn Chicken with the Ghost Chilli Ranch, Tortilla has created a new Damn That’s Hot Burrito and Bowl.
Available in medium or large, it combines coriander rice, black beans, Hot Damn Chicken, monterey jack cheese, Ghost Chilli Ranch, lettuce, pico de gallo, pickled onions and jalapeños.
“The Ghost Chilli Ranch returns and this time it’s not coming alone,” said Tortilla food director James Garland. “Introducing the all-new Hot Damn Chicken. Two hits of heat. One unmistakable flavour. For those brave enough to handle both.
“We know this is the one you’ve all been waiting for and we’ve made it even hotter. Two fiery additions for the autumn season, because one was never going to be enough. Enjoy the heat.”
It follows the launch of Tortilla’s Fuel-Good Bowls range earlier this year, which are designed for customers who want to “eat a bit better and feel a bit better”. The range features The Protein Bowl, The Balance Bowl and The Plant Bowl, each designed with a specific nutritional focus.
