Wagamama and UK travel hub hospitality operator TRGC are to launch Wagamama ‘on the move’, a new premium grab-and-go concept.
Launching at Heathrow Airport Terminal 5, the concept represents a “travel-first evolution of the Wagamama experience”, the pair said.
It has been built to respond to growing passenger demand for higher-quality food-to-go options, delivering classic Wagamama menu items combined with newly developed travel-friendly options.
The menu includes Chicken Katsu Curry, a Yasai Ramen Wrap, Bang Bang Hash Browns, breakfast pots, bao buns, and gyoza.
“The launch of ‘on the move’ marks an important evolution for the Wagamama experience, created specifically for the needs of today’s traveller,” said Wagamama senior VP of franchise and partnerships Francisco Neves.
“We know passengers are looking for high-quality food that is both convenient and full of flavour, and ‘on the move’ allows us to deliver exactly that in a fast, flexible format. We’re excited to deliver our guests’ classic Wagamama favourites in a new travel-friendly format.”
TRGC CEO Jonathan Knight added: “Passengers increasingly want high-quality food that fits seamlessly into their journey, and this concept reflects TRGC’s focus on creating innovative dining experiences that combine convenience, speed and quality within high-footfall travel environments.”
It comes as Wagamama unveiled a “major menu evolution” in May to transform its most popular dishes into portable lunch formats.
The new menu features 26 dishes and drinks, with a “reimagined lunch experience” at the centre, which sees classic dishes available on the go, including a Chicken Katsu Wrap and the Yasai Ramen Wrap.
