Indian food-to-go brand Tuk In Foods has entered the frozen aisle with a four-strong range of naans and sides.
The lineup includes two filled naans: Chicken Tikka Curry in a Naan and Butter Chicken Curry in a Naan (rsp: £4/two-pack), which were already “crowd-pleasing flavours” in Tuk In Foods’ chilled food-to-go range, it said.
The naans are accompanied by two sides: Onion Bhajis and Chicken Tikka Samosas (rsp: £4/from 175g).
Set to hit Sainsbury’s freezers on 27 September, the new lines formed part of Tuk In Foods’ mission to establish the freezer as a destination for quality Indian cuisine and grow the brand’s retail sales value to £10m this year.
The frozen range builds on the success of its chilled filled naans, value sales of which have soared by 37.6% year on year, said Tuk In Foods, citing North Star by Circana data [52 w/e 13 June 2026].
Tuk In Foods said it had brought the same core proposition from its chilled range to frozen, with products that are high in flavour, low in sugar and made with kitchen-cupboard ingredients.
The frozen range, meanwhile, was designed to encourage multiple purchases, unlike food to go, where customers typically bought a single item, it said.
The longer shelf life would offer added convenience, while freezing would allow the brand to stick to its ethos of using kitchen cupboard ingredients, rather than relying on artificial additives and preservatives, it added.
“The frozen aisle is fast becoming a hotbed of innovation and excitement – but for too long Indian food has lagged behind in this area of the store,” said Thomas Cropper., founder of Tuk In Foods.
“With this launch, we want to establish the freezers as a destination for quality, innovative Indian food and bring our much-loved filled naans to a new occasion.”
