UK Egg Centre said the joint venture would strengthen the UK egg market’s supply chain resilience

Egg product supplier UK Egg Centre has joined forces with egg processor Hardeman Group and its UK subsidiary Bumble Hole Foods, in an effort to shore up supplies and support each other’s growth.

“The joint venture is designed to secure raw material supply, increase production capacity, and support sustainable future growth within the British market,” said a UK Egg Centre spokeswoman. “Together, the three organisations will leverage their combined strengths to ensure stability, security, and resilience across the supply chain.”

Bumble Hole Eggs turned over £27.5m in 2024, with a pre-tax profit of £1.4m, and UK Egg Centre made £40.3m with £350k in pre-tax profit.

The Egg Centre did not clarify the exact structure or form of the arrangement, but added: “Through this collaboration, UK Egg Centre, The Hardeman Group, and Bumble Hole Foods reaffirm their shared commitment to supporting the British food industry, ensuring that customers continue to receive a reliable and competitive source of egg products now and into the future.”

Bumble Hole Foods was acquired by Dutch egg processor Hardeman in summer 2025, and is now consolidated under Bumble Hole Eggs.

Both Bumble Hole and Hardeman produce fresh eggs and egg products, with Hardeman a significant player in the Dutch free-range trade.
