UKHospitality and apprenticeship provider HIT Training have unveiled a new Hospitality Graduate Apprenticeship Programme.

Launching this September, the five-year, work-based programme includes Level 3, Level 5 and Level 7 apprenticeships.

They will be tailored to different career entry points and are fully fundable via the apprenticeship levy or 95% government co-investment.

“With the launch of this new scheme, we are changing the culture of the hospitality industry,” said UKHospitality chair Kate Nicholls.

“We are unashamedly seeking bright, focused, ambitious 18-year-olds to join our diverse and vibrant workforce. Via this programme, they will be able to quickly progress and find their place in leadership roles, unlocking significant earnings, responsibility and opportunities across the globe.”

Last month, the trade group urged the government to fix National Insurance contributions and boost jobs by extending the existing exemptions to include both young people and those moving from welfare to work.

The calls came as UKHospitality warned the sector is in danger of being “taxed out” as a result of the 2024 budget, which it claimed directly contributed to a reversal in the sector’s ability to create jobs.

Between October 2024 and May 2025 the sector lost 69,000 jobs, according to the trade association. In the same period the previous year, hospitality created an additional 18,000 jobs.
