US food-to-go sandwich chain Which Wich is expanding to new locations with its first UK multi-unit franchise agreement.
The sandwich brand will open its first regional UK location in Cardiff in partnership with hospitality management company Breaking Brands Management, which also holds the UK franchise rights for bar brand Coyote Ugly.
“Cardiff ticks all the right boxes: diverse, energetic, and full of opportunity,” said Which Wich UK master franchisee Rami Awada.
“Partnering with a trusted operator like Breaking Brands, we’re set to take Cardiff by storm as we bring our fresh, made-to-order Wiches to new communities across the country.”
The sandwich brand, which was founded in 2003 and has almost 230 restaurants in the US, opened its first UK site in 2018 in St Giles Place, London. It offers a breakfast and lunch menu, including toasted sandwiches, wraps and made-to-order options.
Which Wich is set to open its second UK store on Fleet Steet this Thursday (24 July), which will be “a prototype for future franchise locations nationwide”, the brand previously told The Caterer.
