Sales and marketing director Mark Haynes is planning a race to top London hotels, and tastings linked to the traditional local asparagus auction at Bretforton.
Bomfords believed there is still an untapped potential for the crop, and has been involved in a substantial 50 acre planting programme.
Its three-year-old beds will come into commercial production for the first time this year producing between 60 to 70 tonnes. Haynes said this volume would increase in future years to "at least the 100 tonne mark".
