Wendy’s is launching new limited-edition menu items and prizes to celebrate the World Cup summer.
Until 19 July, the burger chain will be rolling out delivery-only Biggie Sharer Boxes. These include a box of any nine burgers and a box with 20 tenders, four regular fries and eight dips.
Wendy’s will also be offering the ‘11th Nugg’. This will see every 10-piece Chicken Nuggets order come with one extra nugget for free, paying homage to the 11 players on a football team.
Alongside this, the fast food chain has released 11 limited-edition whistles, each offering free Wendy’s for a year on delivery. These will appear exclusively in delivery orders of the Biggie Sharer Boxes via delivery from Uber Eats, Deliveroo or Just Eat.
“Matchdays are about more than just the game – they’re about the full experience,” said Wendy’s UK MD Michael Clarke.
“From the food you share to the moments you create, we wanted Wendy’s to be part of that ritual. And with the chance to win free Wendy’s for a year, we’re giving fans something to look forward to well beyond the final whistle.”
