WKD has added a Cherry Ice flavoured alcoholic mixed drink to its range.
WKD Cherry Ice has launched in 70cl bottles (standard and £3.29 price-marked packs) and in 330ml cans, which will also feature in the brand’s mixed 10-pack format. The recommended retail price for the standard 70cl bottle is £3.38.
According to SHS Drinks, the launch was inspired by the “explosive growth” of cherry flavours across multiple drinks categories.
The launch will be supported by in-store activations and digital campaign activity focused on driving awareness and trial.
“The cherry flavour trend is booming, and we have developed WKD Cherry Ice to put our own icy cool spin on it,” said Scott Bell, head of marketing at SHS Drinks. “It’s fun, bold and bursting with flavour – exactly what WKD drinkers want. We know it’s going to be a big hit as the summer season kicks in.
“The addition of WKD Cherry Ice marks a further expansion of our portfolio and underlines both our commitment to the WKD range and the overwhelmingly positive consumer response to our recent innovations.”
