Yo is launching a new ‘It’s Game Time’ menu combining Japanese dishes with Mexican, American and Canadian flavours to celebrate the World Cup.
The limited-edition menu features the Katsu Dog, served in a brioche bun with tortillas and pickled burger gherkins, alongside the sushi brand’s take on Poutine Fries with chicken bulgogi, cheese, pickled onion and mayo.
Yo will also be collaborating with Mel’s Full Fillings, a burger pop-up launched by All Saints singer Melanie Blatt, to create a Chicken Katsu Sandwich. The product combines chicken katsu, pickled red onion, cheese and slaw in a toasted brioche bun.
Other menu items available in Yo restaurants include a Salmon Keviche, Nacho Roll, Philly Roll, Mex Roll, and Mississippi Mud Cake.
For at-home dining, Yo has also rolled out a full range of kiosks across UK Tesco stores. Kiosks will be serving Cheeseburger Sushi Rolls, Cajun Philly Rolls, Chimichurri Chicken Rolls, Jalapeno Dragon Rolls, and Fiery Buffalo Bites.
“With a huge summer of football ahead, we know that people will be looking for exciting food options wherever they’re watching the action,” said Yo marketing director Samantha Kemp. “That’s why Yo decided to go all in this year, launching the new It’s Game Time menu in all restaurants and kiosks nationwide.
“And what better way to celebrate than to bring all the tastes of the host nations into one menu, giving it a classic Yo twist with Asian fusion? It’s the perfect way to kick things off.”
