?First-time exhibitor Imaginative Cuisine is presenting six Balsamico flavoured balsamic dressings, five garnishing oils and three sweet chilli Asian dipping sauces blended with red chilli, basil or ginger at Sial 2006. In quite a feat for any company, let alone a debutante,

it has had all three of the ranges selected by an international panel of judges to appear in the Trends and Innovations area of the show, with the garnishing oils - which come in basil, lemon, watercress, chilli pepper and roquette flavours - winning a coveted Coup de Coeur (jury's favourite) award, one of only 20 to gain that accolade this year.



?Cafédirect, the 100% Fairtrade brand pioneer, has set its sights on expansion within international markets including Asia-Pacific and Europe, as well as North and Latin America. It will be showcasing its range of retail and foodservice products including roast and ground, freeze-dried and wholebean coffee from Latin America to Africa, teas from Africa and drinking chocolate from East Africa and the Caribbean. "Our quest is to trade with more grower partners in developing countries and to change the rules of trade in favour of them," says CEO Penny Newman.



Speciality bakery Foodafayre is set to display a range of hand-made patisserie carrier cases, currently produced for manufacturing and foodservice providers who provide goods to most of the UK's high street multiples. The ambient long-life range includes filo pastry leaf cups, tortilla-shaped shell cups and speciality flavoured pastry cups, as well as cheese straw baskets.



?Herbs, spices and home baking products company Fiddes Payne is launching curry powder seasoning tins in four flavours at the show. Each carries a photograph of Indian life and includes a recipe and serving suggestion. "We pride ourselves on being a producer of top end seasonings that ensure customers return to our range," says managing director Chris White. The company's American Steakhouse and Cajun seasonings for all red meat, poultry and fish are also new. A range of cup-cake kits, centre-pieces and figurines based on Disney's much-loved Winnie the Pooh and Disney Princess characters will also feature at the show.



?Rubicon Exotic Juice drinks is looking to spread its coverage - which already spans the UK, Northern Europe and Canada - and will be unveiling its Pomegranate juice drinks range to the international market at the show. It includes sparkling and still variants, as well as blends featuring blueberry and cranberry juice.
