Paul Bartlett has been appointed marketing director for Magners at Irish drinks manufacturer C&C Group. Bartlett, who has previously worked at Scottish & Newcastle, replaces Maurice Breen.

Parfetts Cash & Carry has appointed Clive Flory as a buyer at its Somercotes depot in Derbyshire. Flory has worked at Batleys for the past 10 years, most recently as trading development manager. In his new role he will be responsible for the chilled provisions, frozen, pet foods, medicines and toilet roll categories.

Tom Langdon-Davies has been named chairman of South West Food & Drink. Langdon-Davies was commercial director of Quickes Cheeses for 20 years and a director of Food Ventures Devon. He takes over from Harry Studholme, who has stepped down after three and a half years in the post.

Dudley Cloake has been appointed chairman of charity Retail Trust. Cloake has been on the trust’s board for five years and worked for the John Lewis Partnership for 34 years, most recently as personnel director. He replaces former Littlewoods group CEO Barry Gibson, who has chaired the trust since 2003.

Former T-Mobile marketing director Phil Chapman has joined Kerry Foods as group marketing director. In a new role for the company, Chapman will oversee brand development and promotions, working closely with each brand marketing director.

Bob Howe, managing director of Bowes of Norfolk, and Bill Thurston, managing director of the pork business unit at Vion Food Group, have joined the board of pig industry body Bpex. “Bob and Bill have extensive experience that will be of great benefit to Bpex and the development and delivery of its plans to assist businesses in the English supply chain,” said Bpex chief executive officer Mick Sloyan.

Food processing company Marel Food Systems has appointed Hrund Rudolfsdottir to the new role of corporate director of human resources. Rudolfsdottir was previously managing director of operations and investment projects at Iceland-based international financial company Milestone.
