Adelie has appointed Nick Anderson as its new chief commercial officer.

Anderson will take over from group commercial director Karl McGonnell who has stepped down from the position and will leave Adelie in May after one year.

Anderson joins the food-to-go supplier on 3 July from Cranswick where he held several roles including most recently sales and marketing director for retail, travel and coffee shops.

“I am confident Nick will deliver success for Adelie considering his impressive track record, having delivered significant sales and margin growth in the last 10 years with Cranswick,” said Adelie CEO Martin Johnson.

Adelie has also hired Martyn Gilbert as commercial director for Urban Eat and convenience as part of a business restructure, placed Sally Ashby in the newly created group product director position, and made Wayne Greensmith head of category marketing.

“We’re delighted to welcome such a wealth of talent to the organisation. We’ve made some great progress so far towards our vision of being the preferred choice in food to go, delighting our customers and consumers with the perfect mix of quality, innovation, value and service, but we’re yet to reach our full potential and convert this good work into increased sales and profit,” said Johnson.

“I’m confident these new appointments will help us to achieve our ambitious growth plans and propel us to greater success.”
