Kellogg’s has named Procter & Gamble veteran Jonathan Myers as its new regional vice president for the UK and Ireland.

Myers has spent 20 years at P&G, most recently as general manager for the oral and feminine care business in China.

The move marks a return to the UK for Myers, who has spent the past seven years overseas.

He will relocate from China to Manchester this month and join Kellogg’s next month, reporting to Stephen Twaddell, president of Kellogg Europe as one of a number of vice presidents on the European leadership team.

He takes over the reins from interim UK boss Flemming Sundoe, the vice president of Kellogg’s Nordic and German business. Sundoe took on the extra responsibilities after Greg Peterson stepped down in February this year.

During his career at P&G, Myers held a number of senior roles, including director of market & strategy planning for P&G China, director of P&G Petcare for Asia and Latin America and MD of Iams UK, where he led the introduction of the brand into the UK.

He also held a number of sales and customer marketing roles in P&G’s UK health & beauty business.

Myers’ track record would prove invaluable to Kellogg’s, said Twaddell. “Jonathan has led and executed trade strategies on a number of market leading brands such as Pantene, Head & Shoulders and Vidal Sassoon and has signifi cant experience in business development,” he said.
