Regional food group Taste of Anglia has promoted head of agricultural policy John Cousins to chairman.

He takes over from Robert James, who has become joint-patron with Lady Caroline Cranbrook after 10 years with the umbrella marketing group. Cousins will officially take over next Thursday at Taste of Anglia's annual Feast East festival at Chilford Hall, Cambridgeshire.

Cousins also farms in Suffolk on a medium-sized family farm with crops, sheep and pigs.
