The 2 Sisters Food Group has named James Dallas as its new divisional director.

Dallas joins the company from Grampian Country Food Group where he worked for nine years, most recently as regional director for Scotland. Prior to Grampian, he worked in agricultural businesses in Scotland and South Africa.

"James brings a wealth of commercial and production experience to 2 Sisters," said chief executive Ranjit Singh.

"He has experience from both ends of the supply chain, which enables him to engage with farmers as well as retail customers."

In his new role, Dallas will be helping the 2 Sisters Scotland team prepare for retail production and will be assisting the expansion of the group's Haughley Park site in Suffolk.

"We are excited about developing our facilities north of the border," Dallas added. "We have investment planned to meet the growing demand for locally reared chicken in Scotland. This should also create some additional employment for the area."
