Birds Eye owner Iglo Group has made a trio of new appointments to deliver its new marketing strategy and increase its digital presence.

It has named Luca Miggiano as chief marketing officer, Francis Nicholas as head of digital sales and Jerry Daykin as head of digital marketing.

Miggiano joins from Mondelez where he is currently vice president of chocolate for the UK, Ireland and Nordics. He has worked on leading brands across Europe including Cadbury, Jacobs coffee, Kenco, Coca-Cola and Mars.

“I am excited by Iglo Group’s ambition and look forward to contributing to this by finding new ways of interacting with consumers and building our brands’ reputation,” he said.

Nicholas has joined from Procter & Gamble, where he was EMEA e-commerce business development leader. Daykin also joins from Mondelez, where he was EU social media marketing manager. Both are newly created roles for Iglo Group.

“These appointments are a key part of delivering the new strategy and digital sales and marketing are at the heart of this,” said Iglo Group CEO Elio Leoni Sceti.

“Many of our consumers now go online not just to shop, but also for recipe ideas and inspiration as to what they eat. As a result, it is essential that Iglo Group increases its focus on online platforms and messaging. The collective experience of Jerry and Francis under Luca’s leadership will be invaluable in enabling us to communicate this message and to dial up our digital content.”
