Dishy bloke

Little Dish, a food company launched in April this year to target the toddler food market, has appointed Mark Koppel as sales director. Koppel was most recently head of UK sales at medical products company, Coloplast. He has also worked as head of UK sales for Nutricia, as an account director for Whitbread/Interbrew and as a NAM for Tesco, and Coca-Cola.

On Landmark board

Don Wouhra, director of East End Foods, and Zahier Ahmed from BA Cash & Carry in South Wales have been appointed to the board of Landmark Wholesale. Robert Lowe, MD of Hyperama, has retired from the board.

Jeffery's Larder

Jack Jeffery is the new chairman of Northumbria Larder, the north east of England regional food group. Jeffery has held senior roles in water and public health, including as MD and chairman of North West Surrey Water Company.

Salvesen support

Logistics company Christian Salvesen has appointed Simon Payne as MD for its UK support services division. The division specialises in reverse logistics and in a new role Payne takes responsibility for expanding the division's client base. He has previously worked for Safeway and DHL Logistics.

Ahold chiefs

Dutch retailer Ahold has appointed Dick Boer chief operating officer for Europe and Lawrence Benjamin chief operating officer for the US.

Smith heads ASA

Lord Smith of Finsbury has been appointed chairman of the Advertising Standards Authority. Lord Smith, who was Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport and a member of the Cabinet from 1997-2001, takes up his new role on 1 July next year, replacing Lord Borrie.
