Fresh appointment

The Fresh Produce Consortium has recruited business consultant Anthony Levy to be chairman of the 'Eat in Colour' campaign board. Levy has held a number of roles within the health sector, and is currently the chairman of Bromley Hospitals NHS Trust.

FSA confirms CEO

The Food Standards Agency has said interim chief executive John Harwood is to become permanent CEO for a period of up to two years. Harwood joined the FSA in March and replaced Jon Bell.

Moore's sweet role

Premium Scottish puddings company Johnstone's Just Desserts has appointed Kevin Moore as its new company director. He will work closely with managing director and founder Lewis Johnstone on the launch of four products, debuting in stores next month.

Atlantic crossing

Following 13 years with Moët Hennessy UK, Jo Thornton is to move to Moët Hennessy USA as vice president for the north east. Thornton was promoted to on trade sales director for the company in 2003.

Cash and carry brief

Paul Clarke has joined northern brewer Daniel Thwaites in Blackburn to take up the newly created role of national account executive. He is now responsible for the company's wholesale and cash and carry business.

ATM chair resigns

Michael Hepher, the chairman of cash machine provider Cardpoint, has resigned. The company said that non-executive director Peter Smyth would assume the role of interim chairman.

Board appointments

Meat South West has recruited seven new members to its board, in a bid to improve co-operation between beef, lamb and pork sectors.
