Nick Miller, MD of Miller Brands UK, is to leave the company in September to take up the role of CEO at craft brewer Meantime Brewing Company.

Miller joined Miller Brands UK in October 2005 as sales director and was appointed managing director three years later.

"I am sad to be leaving a great company and team but also very excited by my new challenge with Meantime Brewing," he said. "I have hugely enjoyed my time at Miller Brands and am very proud of the team's success to date. I am sure that the strong team I leave behind will continue to lead the organisation to even greater heights."

Alastair Hook, brewmaster and founder for Meantime Brewing added: "Nick has a proven track record on all the aspects of beer key to today's consumer. We have been extremely impressed with the way SABMiller have moved their brands in to the direction of local speciality premium products, and with Peroni, Nick has shown the scale of the gap in the market for properly presented and marketed beer."

Miller Brands said it was recruiting for Miller's successor and an announcement would be made in due course.
