One Stop has hired a new head of operations to oversee its franchisees

One Stop has poached Musgrave GB regional director John Miller to be its head of operations as it looks to strengthen its franchise management team.

Miller, who joins from Musgrave GB after nine years with the business – most recently as regional director for England and South Wales – will join One Stop in May in the newly created role of head of operations. He will head up business development, launch support and One Stop’s retail support centre.

Before joining Musgrave, Miller spent six years as a store manager for One Stop early in his career, before taking on responsibility for regional management with the company and later joining Musgrave GB. He has been appointed to help ensure “One Stop’s retail excellence is embedded within the franchise proposition”, a spokeswoman said.

John Miller is the latest in a string of directors to have left Musgrave GB. Last year the company lost two directors – finance director Julie Wirth and trading director Kenton Burchell – to Conviviality Retail and last month Londis sales director Scott Wharton resigned.

Musgrave GB also reshuffled its sales team earlier this month, promoting John Pattison to retail director for Budgens and Londis and Jon Bleeze to operations director for Budgens. At the same time, the company announced two new hires, appointing Andrew Kendall as trading director for both Londis and Budgens, and Simon Palmer as operations director for Londis.
