What's it like to work for your company? Working in a small, dynamic manufacturing business is inspiring, challenging, rewarding and varied.

Why is it a good employer? In the same way that Tracklements wants to make the best products on the market, it also wants to be the best employer in Wiltshire, which means everyone feels valued.Staff turnover is low: almost half the employees have been with us for 10 years or more.

What's the best thing about working there? Being proud of each and every Tracklement in the 52-product range.

Does the company offer any unusual benefits? Several mustards, relishes, sauces, jellies, ketchups, vinaigrettes, chilled salsas, pickles and chutneys!

How does the company differ from its rivals? We are proud to be one of the slowest-expanding businesses in the UK. We employ what we call British Fair Trade; we work with our farmers and suppliers in a way that benefits them as well as us. It's not about getting the best price, it's about getting the best quality from our ingredients.

Is there a definable company culture? Definitely. Tracklements is a family-run company and there's a strong feeling of extended family.

If the company were a car what would it be and why? A Morgan - British, traditional, reliable, understated, fun, still going, handcrafted and enviable.

What's the training like? Every employee is encouraged to learn and improve their skills. The sky's the limit our last bit of training involved eating Sticky Onion Sausages as we learnt to use the cooker on our new Trackle-trailer!

Has the company won any awards or been recognised as an employer? Tracklements has been an Investor in People for seven years. It was voted Specialist Producer of the Year in 2008 by the Guild of Fine Food, and has won more than 50 Great Taste awards since 2000 as well as three Soil Association awards, and 26 Taste of the West awards.

What's your proudest achievement of the last 12 months? This year we're celebrating 40 years and we're proud that we're still making products the way we were when we started. We might be taking advantage of technological advances in filling and packing, but the way we make our products hasn't changed.

Are you looking for any people right now and, if so, where? We are looking to strengthen our team through the recruitment of our first commercial financial controller.

What tips would you offer jobseekers? Be open-minded, enthusiastic, and believe in your ideas.
