What's it like to work for your company? Always busy, always challenging, but we have a great team that pulls in the same direction with shared passion.

Why is it a good employer? It's a very open company in which personal contributions are valued and new ideas encouraged and carried out.

What's the best thing about working there? Because we are quite a lean operation there's a chance to get involved with various aspects of the business and get an all-round view of how the company works. There's also the day-to-day excitement we all feel about introducing beers to people.

Does the company offer any unusual benefits? The chance to try the world's greatest beers or go to the Oktoberfest!

How does the company differ from its rivals? We strive to offer the best possible customer service experience and an exceptional range of beers.

Is there a definable company culture? A culture of fairness in all our dealings internally and externally, with employees, customers and suppliers.

If the company were a car what would it be and why? It would need to be something imported, efficient and premium... so we are probably talking a high-end German motor.

What's the training like and what qualifications can I earn? We tailor any training in an informal manner to suit the specific needs of the person and the role. This is mainly carried out in-house.

What's your proudest achievement of the past 12 months? Apart from the continued growth in sales we've seen I think one of the highlights was the launch of Brooklyn Lager on draught into the UK, which has been acknowledged within the industry as one of the best.

Are you looking for any people right now and, if so, where? We are looking for someone to join our sales team as an account manager looking after our direct delivered business along the M62 corridor.

How does one go about applying for a job? Via our retained consultant Anna Flynn (anna.flynn@brandworker.co.uk)

What tips would you offer jobseekers? Competition for great roles only ever gets more intense so you need to put in more pre-application, research and preparation than you think the next candidate will. Don't be afraid to stand out and show what you are passionate about.

How do I find out more about the company? www.jamesclay.co.uk, or even better... go to a good pub with an interesting beer range and taste some of the beers we import.

Are you working on anything exciting right now that you can tell us about? We are going to continue looking for exciting ways to build great craft beer brands and introduce more people to the fantastic range of flavours and experiences they can offer.
