What's it like to work for your company? Milk Link is an exceptionally welcoming place. We pride ourselves on a "can-do" culture that values integrity, encourages diversity, rewards performance and provides opportunities.

Why is it a good employer? Milk Link recognises that people are central to the success and development of the business.

What's the best thing about working there? Knowing that you are part of a dynamic business whose ultimate aim team is to safeguard the future of 1,500 British dairy farmers.

Does the company offer any unusual benefits? I'd like to be able to say an endless supply of cheese and milk! Seriously, though, we have a competitive benefit package that helps us attract and retain staff.

If the company were a car what would it be? A Mini Cooper appeals to everyone, innovative, deceptively powerful, moves quickly, quintessentially British, and a little bit of fun!

What's the training like and what qualifications can I earn? All staff receive induction training and are then trained in the key skills they need. We offer assistance for people to attain relevant professional qualifications and undertake regular training to ensure our staff have the correct skills to help them meet the challenges in their roles.

Has the company won any awards? We have Investors In People accreditation at some of our sites and recently retained IIP status at our Taw Valley facility which has held the award for the past five years. We want to get IIP across all of our sites and are building the necessary infrastructure to achieve this.

What's your proudest achievement of the past 12 months? Milk Link has taken a leading role in the establishing a ground-breaking dairy education initiative to provide a foundation degree level qualification for dairy processing and manufacturing personnel. Known as Project Eden, the initiative is the result of a collaboration between leading dairy processing businesses, Dairy UK, the National Skills Academy and Reaseheath College, and is designed to produce world-class staff. Based on the success of Eden, we are working with the dairy industry to look at other areas of skill shortage and are determined to replicate this success in other areas.

Anything new on the human resources front? We are implementing a High Performance HR System that will drive standardisation and raise standards across the business. This covers area such as recruitment, talent and reward management but will only succeed if it is able to deliver processes that add value and address genuine business needs.

Are you looking for any people right now? We normally work with agencies but are happy to receive direct applications.
