What's it like to work for your company? Kerry Foods is friendly, fast-paced and varied. We have grown organically and through acquisition so we have diversity in products and people.

Why is it a good employer? Our growth means that there are always opportunities to help people to develop. In addition, one of our core values is caring for our employees.

What's the best thing about working there? The passion that everyone displays for hitting our ambitious growth targets.

How does the company differ from its rivals? We have a number of our own leading brands and also supply own-label products to major retailers in the UK and Ireland. We are number one or number two in every market we operate in.

Is there a definable company culture? Yes, we have a set of values that includes a passion for finding better ways to do things, taking pride in what we do, and cultivating the audacity and ambition to be the best.

If the company were a car what would it be and why? A quality family car that everyone can afford.

What's the training like? There is a real focus on personal development and training at every level of the company.

Has the company won any awards? We have won many awards such as, in 2010, a Gold Accreditation Great Taste Award from the Guild of Fine Food (Tesco Finest King Prawn Masala); Silver Award for Best New Poultry-Based Product in the British Frozen Foods Awards (Sharwood's Indian Feast); Best Product on a Value Platform at the SuperMeat & Fish Awards (Asda Ready to Roast Large Gammon Joint); and a Tesco Value Award (Tesco Ken Hom range).

What's your proudest achievement over the past 12 months? Getting a nearly 80% completion rate for our first-ever company-wide all-employee survey, which was conducted entirely online. Some employees had never used a computer before and nearly a third don't speak English as their first language. The response was amazing! We plan to use the results to ensure that we are responsive to our employees' needs by addressing the issues that have arisen.

Are you looking for any people right now and, if so, where? As a large multi-site business, we are always looking for high performing people. ResourceBank helps us to track down talent at all levels.

How does one go about applying for a job? There are a number of ways. We recruit graduates straight from university (see www.kerryfoodsgraduates.com) as well as experienced hires at all levels (see www.kerryfoodscareers.co.uk).

What tips would you offer jobseekers? Be yourself and be clear about why you are interested in the company and the role that you have applied for.
