Plans to reduce salt in Heinz beans

The Heinz baked beans recipe will change again in response to rising concerns over the levels of salt in processed food.

The company also plans reducing the salt content across the rest of its range by 15%.

The move will take the salt content of its products below the governments 0.875% target.

Heinz will begin reducing salt in its baked beans this summer.
