Sun Valley is selling off its turkey business to focus on its core chicken interests. Brandons Poultry will take on Sun Valley's production plant at Abergavenny by the end of June, as the Cargill owned subsidiary homes in on its chicken and food manufacturing strengths. All 600 staff will also be transferred, and farmers currently supplying Sun Valley will continue under contract to Brandon. Sun Valley md Hugh Guill said the hunt for suitable businesses to help grow its chicken and food manufacturing businesses would continue. In the last year it bought Hermelink in Holland along with Fields International in the UK. {{NEWS }}
