Welch's is launching two brand extensions to its purple grape juice.
Purple Grape & Raspberry and Purple Grape & Strawberry are targeted at the health-conscious and will be up against the likes of Tropicana Pure Premium, which launched Cranberry Blend and Pomegranate Blend earlier this year.
The new Welch's chilled products (rsp: £1.99) have the same antioxidant properties as the standard grape juice and are endorsed by cholesterol charity Heart UK. A University of Glasgow survey of the UK's most popular juices ranked the product top in terms of overall antioxidant power.
