Huntley & Palmers biscuits are making a comeback after an absence of more than 10 years.
Established in 1822, the company was acquired last year by a group of investors that included Nigel McCrea, formerly marketing director of Jacobs Bakery, and John Sandom, founder and chairman of packaging design company Vibrandt.
The initial range includes When Taste Matters, bite-sized sweet biscuits; Not Just For Cheese, biscuits and wafer-thins for cheese, dips or paté; Chequers, a box of mint crisp
chocolates; and a Brandy & Walnut Christmas Pudding.
Prices range from £5.50 for the When Taste Matters to £9.50 for the Christmas pud.
Huntley & Palmers will be targeting the speciality and fine foods sector.
