Cornish dairy specialist Rodda's is taking its crème fraîche nationwide in a challenge to imported French products.

Rodda's uses a traditional French recipe, but blends West Cornwall milk from Jersey, Guernsey and Friesian cows to make the product, which will be listed in 153 Waitrose stores from 17 August (rsp: 85p for 200g).

"The Rodda's brand is known for producing the very best Cornish Clotted Cream," said MD Nicholas Rodda. "But the Cornish milk we use is also perfectly matched to the production of this premium quality crème fraîche."
