Sainsbury is drawing its organic offer into the mainstream as it remerchandises stores across its portfolio, and adds 100 lines to the range. The latest additions will bring Sainsbury's total of organic lines up to 1,000. Organic cereals, pasta, tinned foods and other store cupboard items are being moved to mini-blocks alongside conventional items. And the Sainsbury own-label organic logo has been changed to green, with all packaging updated to include information on other organic products and reasons to go organic. The multiple will use its organic ranges to promote the regional supply chain. Welsh stores will carry 10 organic vegetable lines stamped with a Red Dragon logo in the first of a raft of local initiatives. A Sainsbury spokeswoman said: "Organic ranges are sourced locally where feasible, we plan to break it down by county in the future." {{NEWS }}
