Sara Lee Bakery's two newest ranges, Micro Danish Snack Bars and Micro Danish Puddings, show the company's focus on convenience in frozen desserts. The snack bars, ­ iced Danish pastry with apple and blackberry ­ are a new format for the Danish dessert range. Each pocket of the multi-compartment containers, can be snapped off, so that one bar can be cooked separately, or several at once. They can be heated in the microwave or in a conventional oven from frozen. The puddings, which take three minutes in the microwave, or 25-30 in a conventional oven, come in Sticky Toffee and Rich chocolate flavours. Marketing director David Bolsher said the brand already accounted for 30% of the hot bakery sector and snacking was the key trend. {{P&P }}
