Apple & Cherry will become the latest addition to the Capri-Sun range of juice drinks this month. The launch follows last year’s introduction of a Mango variant, which helped the brand deliver 4.4% growth in value sales [SymphonyIRI 52 w/e 8 December 2012]. “Following the huge success of Capri-Sun Mango in 2012, we are very excited to introduce the new variant and expect it to perform particularly well,” says Hannah Richards, Capri-Sun brand manager at CCE. Del Monte Fruit Burst

Del Monte is the latest brand to attempt to capitalise on last year’s Robinsons Fruit Shoot recall with the launch of its own range of fruit juice drinks for kids. Fruit Burst is available in four flavours, including Cool Cherry & Luscious Lime and Sherbet Lemon, Orange & Lime, and aimed at seven to 13-year-olds. Rsp: £1.29 per litre.

 

Tropicana Apple Creations

PepsiCo is looking to drive incremental sales in NFC juice with Tropicana Apple Creations. Tropicana already boasts an Orange Creations range but the apple variants - including Apple & Mango and Apple & Passionfruit - will drive new occasions as they’re more suited to consumption with food, says PepsiCo. Purity soft drinks hopes to tap the growing trend for blended juices with three new JuiceBurst varieties. Orange & Passionfruit, Still Lemonade and Apple & Rhubarb join the 14 varieties currently in the range.
