Levi Roots is adding a new flavour to its Jamaican Sunset soft drinks range. The shocking pink 2-litre carbonated Watermelon & Guava (rsp: £1.69) variant hits Sainsbury’s in June, joining Caribbean Crush, Ginger beer with Lime n’ Honey and Tropical Punch. The range was refreshed this March, with Mango & Pineapple renamed Tropical Punch and the use of price-marked packs extended. Brand owner Vimto says the Levi Roots soft drinks brand is now worth £4m.

 

Shloer Raspberry & Rhubarb Punch

With traditional flavours and adult soft drinks enjoying a surge in popularity, Shloer is launching a limited-edition raspberry & rhubarb punch for the summer, combining red and white grape juices with raspberry and rhubarb flavours (rsp: £2.14 or £2.25). The punch is designed to be served in a punch bowl with ice and is available in Waitrose, Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s.

 

J20 Pear Gold Limited Edition

New consumers with a ‘more sophisticated palate’ are the target of Britvic’s J2O Pear Gold. The limited-edition carbonated blend of pear and guava fruit juices is marketed as a credible non-alcoholic alternative to cider. TV and radio advertising drive home the slogan ‘at the heart of the adult get together’. The drink comes in a 275ml four-pack (rsp: £4.29).

Bottle Green Elderflower Tonic Water

After a successful cross-promotion with Gordon’s Gin in 2012, the cordial and pressé maker has unveiled elderflower and pink tonic waters (rsp: £3) that can be consumed on their own or as the ‘ultimate’ cocktail mixers. The pink tonic water blends pomegranate, quinine and elderflower. The four-packs of 175ml glass bottles go on sale in selected Sainsbury’s next month.
