The partnership would cater to the ‘ever-growing demand for functional alcohol alternatives’, said C&C Group

CBD drinks brand Trip has partnered with C&C Group to distribute its products in the UK.

The partnership signalled both businesses’ investment into leading growth in the low & no category, said C&C Group.

It would cater to the “ever-growing demand amongst consumers for functional alcohol alternatives”, it added.

C&C Group commercial director Clara Shand said Trip had “revolutionised the low & no space as the leading CBD brand in Europe”.

“Its stylish packaging and innovative marketing campaigns have led to fantastic growth in the UK, and we can’t wait to work together to drive distribution of Trip.”

Trip co-founder Olivia Ferdi added that the brand had “proven success in the UK nationwide as an elevated and truly functional alcohol alternative”.

“As the category leader with 89% of the market share of UK CBD drinks, C&C are the natural partner to deepen our work in the on-trade partnering with their best-in-class expertise and reach.”

It comes after the brand secured a £10m investment to fuel its rapid growth and bring its drinks to a mainstream customer base in August.

Trip’s range of CBD drinks and oils are currently stocked in around 11,000 stores, including Sainsbury’s, Holland & Barrett, Boots, Ocado, Selfridges and Harrods, as well as foodservice and hospitality chains such as The Ivy, BrewDog, Leon and Benugo.
